- What do I wear?
- Comfortable athletic wear.
- What do I need?
- Refillable water bottle; for the Muay Thai and Kickboxing classes you will need hand wraps, gloves, shin guards, elbow pads, and a mouth guard. For all other classes you will need comfortable workout gear.
- Is there a place to change?
- Yes we have a locking changing room as well as two bathrooms for use.
- What should I expect for my first class?
- There will be a warmup session of light cardio exercises followed by a short stretching session. After will be a technique of the day, drilling of that technique, and closing with a short conditioning session.
- Will I have to spar?
- There will be very light technical sparring in the classes but will be optional and there will be alternate drills for those that do not wish to spar.
- What is the difference between Muay Thai and Kickboxing?
- Muay Thai is known as the Art of 8 Limbs (knees, elbows, kicks, and punches) and includes clinch, catching kicks, and sweeps.
- Kickboxing involves kicks and punches but does not allow clinch, catching kicks, or sweeps.
